My name is Maya Turner, and for the past 4 years, I've had the rewarding experience of guiding 170 students on their academic journeys. My passion for tutoring stems from a desire that originated from my childhood and also to help be a catalyst to learners' growth in understanding the multitude of concepts present in the subject of AP Spanish Language and culture. Using my background in language for which I have PhD degree from the university of North Carolina, I can provide strong instruction in AP Spanish language and culture, while also offering support in Spanish and ESL. Outside of tutoring, I find myself drawn to sports, which I believe fosters a well-rounded perspective that I integrate into my teaching approach.

Being experienced in the language of Spanish, I can help students prepare for AP Spanish Language and Culture by following a set teaching methodology. I will first establish clear learning goals and ensure that we are on the same page. I will also break down complex linguistic aspects into comprehendable sets of information and provide plenty of revision and support wherever it is required to not only help the student learn better but also build trust in the tutor. I will also conduct periodic test and ensure coverage of possible concepts that have a big chance of appearing in the exams. I will also establish a regular feedback mechanism to correct students' flaws in a timely manner and monitor their progress.
